Myotherapy is a form of manual therapy focusing on the treatment and prevention of neuromuscular pain and dysfunction.Myotherapy involves the comprehensive assessment, treatment, and management of neuromusculoskeletal conditions resulting from pain, injury, poor posture, and improper biomechanical functioning.
Myotherapists typically combine soft tissue therapy (deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy), joint mobilisations, dry needling, cupping, taping, corrective exercise, and pain education to effectively treat and prevent neuromuscular pain and dysfunction.

What does a Myotherapy Consultation/ Treatment session Involve?

A Myotherapy consultation typically involves comprehensive history taking, muscle and joint testing, muscle palpation, soft tissue therapy (deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy), joint mobilisation, functional movement screening, and corrective exercise prescription. Other treatment modalities such as Myofacsial dry needling, cupping and taping may also employed depending on individual needs/conditions.
